Description

“Jraghatspanyan” White Dry is a unique Armenian dry white wine with an unmistakable aroma and flavor. The 2019 vintage blend consists of the indigenous grape varieties Kangun and Garan Dmak, grown in the winery’s own vineyard in sunny Armavir, in the Ararat Valley. The vineyard is located in the village of Bambakashat at an altitude of 860 meters above sea level, on fertile clay-sandy soils with excellent moisture retention. The Kangun and Garan Dmak vines were planted here in 2006. Favorable geo-climatic conditions allow the grapes to fully express their potential, while traditional winemaking methods combined with long-standing wine heritage not only preserve but also enhance the richness and unique character of each variety. The harvest, done by hand, usually begins on September 10 and lasts for a week. At the winery, the grapes are fermented at a low controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged for 5 months in steel vats, and after bottling — for at least 3 more months in the bottle. The wine matures, gaining exclusive shades in its taste and aromatic palette, in the estate’s ancient cellar, which was built back in the 1890s. This wine offers an exceptional balance of quality and price.
