Description
To produce the premium vodka "Artsakh" Cornelian Cherry, very aromatic wild cornelian cherry berries are used. It takes as much as 35 kg of berries to obtain just 1 liter of the drink, and they are harvested only by hand. After removing the pits, the pulp is pressed to extract the juice, which then undergoes fermentation in enameled tanks and is twice distilled in copper stills at 60% strength, allowing the aroma of the drink to be preserved as much as possible.
After blending and filtration through membrane filters, "Artsakh" Cornelian Cherry is aged for another 2–3 months, which gives it an even softer, velvety taste and aroma. The texture of the drink deserves special attention — crystal clear in appearance, it leaves oily “legs” on the walls of the glass, a quality shared only by very fine cognacs. Moreover, it should be served not chilled, but at a temperature of 20–24 °C.
At the 2006 international forum “Beverage Industry”, "Artsakh" Cornelian Cherry was awarded a gold medal and a first-degree diploma.
